Operations Overview

Patriotism At Work International (PAWI) is a for profit organization with a non-profit objective. This organization has been established mainly to aid governments from other countries in various sectors, such as healthcare, housing and development, education, economic development, public service and infrastructure.

Our main objective is to recruit large establishments such as Home Depot, Lowe’s, Independent School Districts, hospitals, specialized clinics, universities, local governments, and the like, to donate any type of goods and resources that these foreign governments can use in order to help develop their countries. We are particularly interested in obtaining construction materials (paint, ready mix concrete, steel, sheet rock, plywood, shingles, windows, doors, roofing supplies), healthcare equipment (dialysis machines, x-ray machines, radiology equipment), healthcare supplies, school supplies, and furniture and fixtures.

Pricing Strategy

We charge a 5% administrative fee for all transactions conducted through PAWI. Our rate is much less than our competitors, who charge from 6% to 91% the value of the donated material. Each country will be responsible for the logistical costs of every transaction, allowing PAWI to use its 5% to cover administrative fees and travel costs of VPs and executives who acquire and verify the delivery of the donated material. We arrived at this price due to the competitive prices of similar entities operating here in the U.S. In comparison, the Red-Cross charges a 9% fee for all transactions, to help with the administrative costs of its operations.

Our strongest competitor, and the only other organization similar to ours, which does not operate on disaster relief only, is ‘Reach Out America’. ROA charges a 6% administrative fee to help developing countries in need of resources, find those resources. Our price is less, however, since our goal is to charge the least amount to the needy country as possible. This pricing strategy allows us to maintain a good pricing strategy that will pay strong dividends to our share holders, while covering our operational costs.

The transportation costs for each project will be paid for by the nation requesting the goods and resources. Some of the countries we serve have established ties with freight companies who transport goods to their ports. These freight companies will be utilized as much as possible; thereby reducing the transportation costs incurred for the transporting of the requested goods and resources.
